The regular season winds down tonight for both the Southold boys and girls basketball teams. There’s plenty at stake for both.

Each team enters tonight’s game needing a win to clinch a spot in the playoffs. Both teams will get a chance to do so at home as the teams will play a doubleheader at Southold High School.

The girls come into the game with a 4-5 League VIII record and will face The Stony Brook School at 4:30 p.m. The boys, who are 7-8 in League VIII, will follow at 6:15, also against The Stony Brook School.

The boys have dropped their last three games, most recently a 58-43 loss at home against Smithtown Christian Tuesday. The girls lost their previous two games.

Check back tonight for coverage of both games.
