Photos: 169th annual Washington’s Birthday Parade in Greenport
As yet another snowstorm began building over the North Fork, the Greenport Fire Department held its 169th annual Washington’s Birthday parade Saturday afternoon.
Fire departments from as far away as New Hyde Park descended upon the Village and were met with a small but enthusiastic crowd of admirers.
Most notably, the Smithtown Fire Department brought along a grilling team that manned a barbecue on a trailer, handing out piping hot hamburgers and hot dogs along the parade route.
