The Riverhead Chamber of Commerce and Suffolk County Community College are pairing up to get a better gauge on the temperature of the East End workforce.

The organizations have asked small business employers across the region to take a survey asking them a number of questions — nine questions to be asked — which help them “develop a symposium designed for your employees and the general public seeking to learn new skills.”

Questions are centered around topics such as educational skills needed in the workforce, gaps in “soft skills” such as leadership and problem solving, and the theme sought for this year’s symposium.
