Southold Town Board is considering conducting a survey to get resident input on issues related to deer living within the town.

Board members are expected to discuss a plan at Tuesday morning’s work session for creating and mailing out the poll.

Inspired by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Fish & Wildlife Division’s survey, “Living with Deer In NJ,” the poll would ask residents about hunting, Lyme Disease, deer-related car accidents and seek any other input on deer management in Southold.

The board will meet at 9 a.m. in Southold Town Hall.
