Coming Up: Author talk with Phil Burns in Peconic

Local author Phil Burns is scheduled to give a book talk at the Peconic Community Center on April 27 at 3 p.m.

Mr. Burns of Southold, who spent 40 years with the New York City Fire Department and retired as a deputy chief in 2003, will be reading from his three books that chronicled his career.

Mr. Burns was the 11th Division commander for 10 years and spent seven months at ground zero.
