Peconic Bay Medical Center will be heading downtown next Saturday for its annual Candlelight Ball.

The Riverhead hospital’s annual fundraiser will be held in East Main Street’s historic Suffolk Theater, which reopened last year after extensive renovations.

The night is billed annually as one of “community recognition and entertainment.”

“This event is a fun way to bring our community together and recognize those who have gone above and beyond to help PBMC in our mission to provide the best possible health care to the East End Communities,” said hospital president and CEO Andrew Mitchell.

This year, Peggy and Stanley Zinberg of Remsenberg are being honored as the 2014 Community Honorees for their support of the hospital, while Dr. Agostino Cervone, a surgeon who specializes in robotic and minimally invasive procedure at Peconic Bay, is being named 2014 Physician of the Year.

Live entertainment includes celebrity standup comedian Bobby Collins, who’s headlining the night’s events. John Luke of A&E’s Storage Wars New York will be providing entertainment through a live auction. Sherry Davey is emceeing the Candlelight Ball.

A grant prize of a new car (or $20,000) will also be raffled off.
