Town Planner, Realtors to talk town zoning

Southold_Town_Hall_Sign41511Helping real estate agents and colleagues who specialize in commercial real estate learn the lay of the land, Southold Town Planning Department director Heather Lanza and Hamptons and North Fork Realtors are teaming up for an information breakfast forum on Thursday.

The casual morning discussion will focus on land use and zoning in the Town of Southold — including Fisher’s Island and Plum Island. The talk would address zoning issues and educate realtors and business owners about the types of land use permitted under town code.

Guests are encouraged to ask questions and suggest ways code could be updated to benefit Southold’s economy.

The breakfast forum is Thursday, May 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Southold Town Recreation Center, 970 Peconic Lane, Peconic.

Coffee, tea, juice bagels and cream cheese, muffins and breakfast pastries will be offered; or guests can bring their own brown bag breakfast.
