Achievements: Fulbright scholar bound for University of Luxembourg

Ashley Finger of Cutchogue has graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Davidson (N.C.) College with a degree in physics and a minor in mathematics. She will spend the next year at the University of Luxembourg on a Fulbright scholarship and will then attend the University of Virginia School of Law. 

Evan Neighley of Mattituck and Griffin Quist and Molly Spellman of Southold have all been named to the fall 2013 dean’s list at Binghamton (N.Y.) University.

Catherine Barry of Mattituck has graduated from the University of Dayton (Ohio) as an intervention specialist with a bachelor’s degree in education and health sciences. She was also named to the dean’s list for the spring semester.

Catherine Bosco of Southold has been awarded a Farmingdale (N.Y.) College Foundation Scholarship for the 2013-14 school year.

Sarah Harbes of Mattituck has graduated from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C., with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.

Marvin Rodriguez of Greenport has received a 2013-14 Best and Brightest Award from SUNY/Oneonta, where he is majoring in computer science. Recipients are nominated by faculty based on academic and co-curricular engagement and service to the college/community.

Carolyn Sweeney, daughter of Susan and Terry Sweeney of Mattituck, has earned a master’s degree from Long Island University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts, where she also received an award for excellence in interactive multimedia arts.
