The Village Board gave the green light to the East End Seaport Museum’s annual Maritime Festival Tuesday night.

Members unanimously voted in favor of permitting the popular event, which is now celebrating its 25 anniversary. The board also waived the ban on open containers of alcohol on Sep. 20 and 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the festival.

The event features nautical arts and crafts, classic wooden boats, activities for children and families, music, pirate shows, local produce and seafood, wines and craft beer, fireworks and excursions to the lighthouse Bug Light.

The Maritime Festival is set for Friday, Sept. 19, through Sept. 21.
