Longtime San Simeon employee retires after 45 years

Longtime San Simeon by the Sound employee Maria Frumenti is retiring, having served the organization for 45 years. 

A farewell dinner in her honor will take place next Friday, July 11, at 6 p.m. at The Soundview restaurant.

Ms. Frumenti started out in the kitchen at San Simeon and eventually moved to the administration department, where she is often the first person visitors to the nursing and rehabilitation center encounter.

An East Marion resident, Ms. Frumenti says the best part of her job has been interacting with residents and staff.

“I don’t think people really know how deeply I care about them,” she said in February, after being named employee of the month.
