Barbara Jean Martin of Southold died July 8 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. She was 70.
She was born in Greenport July 14, 1943, to Stanley and Helen Case and was a graduate of Southold High School.
A lifelong resident, she was a member of the Southold United Methodist Church and was a well-liked and talented seamstress.
She is survived by two daughters, Kimberlie Jobes of Glens Falls, N.Y., and Diane McGunningle of Southold; three siblings, Ernie Case of Cutchogue, Nancy Marschean of Cutchogue and Margie Brem of Farmingdale; and five grandchildren, Craig Jobes, Zachary Jobes and Caylie Jobes, Kenny McGunningle and Matthew McGunnigle. She was predeceased by a brother, Soc Case.
The family received visitors July 11 at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. A funeral service took place July 12 at Cutchogue United Methodist Church. Interment took place at Cutchogue Cemetery.
