Cops: Laurel man arrested for DWI, traffic violations

A Laurel man was arrested early Friday morning for driving drunk and other traffic violations, Southold Town police said.

David Orr, 47, was pulled over around 2:30 a.m. for failing to signal a right-hand turn from Bay Avenue to Peconic Bay Boulevard, police said.

Officers detected the smell of alcohol on his breath and placed him under arrest for driving while intoxicated, police said.

Mr. Orr was also found to be driving with a suspended registration and suspended license, police said.

He was transported to Southold Police headquarters and held for morning arraignment.
