Cops: Woman shouting obscenities in neighborhood arrested

A Greenport woman was arrested Sunday night after Southold Police said she wouldn’t stop shouting obscenities in the middle of her neighborhood, and resisted arrest when she continued to do so after being asked to stop numerous times.

According to police, 49-year-old Cindy Goehring was standing on Ludlam Place in Greenport around 9:30 p.m. when they asked her to stop. She reportedly continued to should, and while attempting to place her under arrest, police said she resisted officers.

She was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, was transported to headquarters and held for morning arraignment.
