The Oysterponds Board of Education is expected to accept school board member Alison Lyne’s resignation Tuesday, according to a resolution on the board’s agenda.

After an unsuccessful run for school board run in 2012, Ms. Lyne won the seat in May 2013.

Ms. Lyne, who said during the campaign her biggest concern with the district is its “continuous revolving door” with administrators, is planning to step down one year into her first term.

Superintendent Richard Malone said Ms. Lyne and her family are moving out of the state.

The vote to accept Ms. Lyne’s resignation is Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this story stated Ms. Lyne was elected and sworn in this May. She was elected in May 2013 and sworn in that July. We regret the error.
