Mildred Harriet Enright

Mildred Harriet Enright of Southold died Oct. 7. She was 93. 

Ms. Enright was born Jan. 29, 1921, in Howard, Kansas to Cora and Oscar Haile. While in Kansas, she taught in a one-room school house and later moved to Oklahoma, working in a high-end men’s clothing store.

Rachel Caim, Ms. Enright’s daughter said Ms. Enright became involved square dancing after moving to Oklahoma, serving as president of her square dancing club. She also enjoyed embroidery. After moving to Southold, Ms. Enright became an active member of First Presbyterian Church.

Predeceased by her husband, Clarence Enright, and her daughter Betty Deroski, Ms. Enright is survived by her four children, Gary, Linda and Patricia Rolfs and Ms. Caim; four stepchildren, Mark Enright, Beverly Blanton, Walter Enright and Brian Enright; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Southold.

Memorial donations may be made to senior programs at First Presbyterian Church in Southold or Maureen’s Haven.
