The SUNY/Cobleskill Department of Sports & Exercise announced Tuesday that Mattituck High School standout middle/outside hitter Emilie Reimer has committed to the Fighting Tigers as part of the 2015 recruiting class.

“Emilie is going to be a great addition to our program,” SUNY/Cobleskill coach Scott Hill said. “We were looking for someone with multiple skill sets and she is a player who can operate at either the middle hitter or outside hitter position for us. What Emilie can do is finish off points, which is an area that we need to improve in next season.”

This past season Reimer helped lead the Tuckers to their second consecutive Suffolk County Class C and Long Island Region Class C championships on the way to the team’s second consecutive appearance in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships.

Reimer, a three-year varsity starter, was named to the NYSPHSAA Class C All-State Team and All-State Tournament Team in 2013 and 2014 while earning All-Long Island Region Second Team honors in 2014 and all-league and all-county honors in 2013 and 2014.
