Cops: Pennsylvania man arrested on drug charges in Greenport

A 42-year-old Pennsylvania man was arrested Sunday on drug charges in Greenport, Southold Town police said.

Kevin Howell, of East Stroudsburg, was driving in a car loaded with hunting gear on Route 25 at around 7:30 a.m. when police pulled him over for a traffic violation.

Police found he was in possession of “three bags of cocaine, 530 rounds of .223 caliber ammunition, a compound bow and several arrows,” officials said.

Mr. Howell was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, transported to police headquarters, released on bail and issued a court date, police said.
