Betty Marie Hermann

Betty Marie Hermann, a 36-year resident of Southold, died at her home February 3, 2015. She was 83.

Born Sept. 21, 1931, in Baldwin to Ivy (née Robins) and Walter Johnson, she was a graduate of Baldwin High School’s class of 1949.

On Oct. 26, 1957, she married Frank T. Hermann in Baldwin and they later made their home in Southold. He passed away July 22, 2008.

Surviving are her children, Judy and Nancy (Robert) Leonard, both of Jamesport; her siblings; Helen and Barbara Johnson of Baldwin, Janet Wider of Hempstead and Evelyn Zeliff of North Carolina and two grandsons: Michael and Joseph Leonard. She was predeceased by her siblings, William, Ronald, Vernon and Robert Johnson and Shirley Wallace.

The family received visitors Feb. 8 at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold where services were conducted by Pastor Mike Jankowski. Interment took place at Calverton National Cemetery.
