2015 voter’s guide for Greenport Village mayoral, trustee races
Greenport Village residents will head to the polls today to elect a mayor and two trustees.
George Hubbard Jr., a village trustee and deputy mayor, and local business owner Zuleyha (Julie) Lillis, are running against each other in the mayoral race. Mayor David Nyce isn’t seeking re-election.
Four candidates are running for two seats up for grabs in the trustee race: incumbent Trustee David Murray, former village trustee William Swiskey, and newcomers Jack Martilotta and Doug Roberts. They’re competing for Mr. Murray’s seat, as well as the seat left vacant by Mr. Hubbard.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Greenport firehouse.
