Cloudy skies cannot dampen the Irish spirit.

Although the National Weather Service is predicting rainy weather throughout the day Saturday, the annual Cutchogue St. Patrick’s Day parade will go on as scheduled, said Joe Corso, the Cutchogue Parade chairman.

“Once I found out the bag pipe band would play in any type of weather I thought, ‘We are still going to do it,’ ” he said.

The parade, sponsored by the North Fork Chamber of Commerce and Cutchogue Fire Department, will start at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Marchers, which will include pipers, scouts, local organizations and businesses, will start at Cox Lane and parade all the way through Cutchogue Village on Main Road.
