The show will be open Saturdays, April 18 and 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays, April 19 and 26, noon to 5 p.m.

In conjunction with the exhibit, Southold Historical Society director and author Geoffrey Fleming will give a talk and sign books from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 19. Mr. Fleming has written or co-written a number of books, many about local artists of the past.

• The sixth annual Anne MacKay Song Swap will be hosted by Oysterponds Community Activities from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Poquatuck Hall in Orient.

The song swap is “set up like the living room of a family of musicians at home, swapping songs all evening with friends and neighbors,” according to a press release. It will be led by singer/guitarist Gideon D’Arcangelo as emcee. He’ll be joined by local musicians Nancy Baxter, Baxter Townsend, Helen Hooke, Roma Baran, Mimi Fahs, Peter Millis, Larry Bull, Grayson Murphy, Karen and Michael Haley, Anna Claude Manning and others.

The event, a fundraiser for the historic hall, is named for the late Ms. MacKay, one of its original organizers.

Donation is $10.

• An artists’ talk and reception with animator Don Duga and fine artist/independent filmmaker Irra Verbitsky is set for 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at Riverhead Free Library’s Elizabeth Fox Overton Gallery. Their work is on display there through May 28.

• New works by Marc Rubin of Elmira, N.Y., are on view at The South Street Gallery in Greenport. According to the gallery’s website, Mr. Rubin’s “creative impulses extend from contemporary graphic design and a fascination with the intricacies of typography, to painting in oils in a tradition that is centuries old.”
