Designer Show House returning in August

The North Fork Designer Show House, the event where local designers turned an empty old farm house into a display of chic and stylish rooms, will be back for another showing this August.

The committee members behind the show house said an August event raised $40,000 for local charities and a December event raised about $30,000. The event was so successful the organizers — Bob Tapp, Kate DiGregorio, Melissa Buckley, Nick Ellis, Christina Kosmynka and Barbara and Tom McAdam — were named The Suffolk Times’ “Community Leaders of the Year” for 2014.

“We want to make $100,000 and give it away,” Tapp said of the upcoming event.
