Engagement: Erin Van Etten and Joseph Macari

Raymond and Theresa Van Etten of Parrish, Fla., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Erin, to Joseph Macari, son of Joseph and Alexandra Macari of Cutchogue.

Erin, a 2008 Mattituck High School graduate, earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in criminal justice and psychology from University of South Florida in Tampa.

Joseph graduated from Mattituck High School in 2007 and earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in viticulture and wine technology from Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua, N.Y.

A 2016 wedding is planned.
