Cops: Riverhead man caught driving drunk on Route 25

A Riverhead man was arrested on a drunk driving charge last night while driving on Route 25 in Cutchogue.

According to Southold Police, 27-year-old Daniel Schlipp was driving eastbound on the main road around 9 p.m. and was allegedly unable to stay in his lane. Police said he crossed the double yellow line as well as the white line  marking the shoulder on the side of the road.

Mr. Schlipp was given several roadside sobriety tests, police said, and then arrested and transported to headquarters.
