Andrew “Brud” C. Kehl of Southold died peacefully May 4, 2015 at home in Seneca, S.C. at the age of 83. He was born and raised in Greenport.
After school he served in the U.S. Navy as a Frogman and a diesel engineer during the Korean War.
In 1962, he was employed as the first mechanic for the Southold Town Highway Department until his retirement in 1992. He also served as volunteer firefighter in the Southold Fire Department for 30 years.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Janet and his sister, Lena Slodki. He was the loving father of Robert Kehl, Pamela Horowitz, Brett Kehl and Deborah Hinrich. He was also blessed to with eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Seneca, S.C.
