Ann Isabel Boyle

Ann Isabel Boyle of Orient and Slingerlands, N.Y. died June 26 at Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge, N.J. She was 77. 

She was born Feb. 6, 1938, in the Bronx to Anna (Jones) and John Kreppein. She married James Boyle Feb. 6, 1960, at St. Luke Church in Whitestone, Queens.

Ms. Boyle graduated from St. John’s University in New York with a degree in elementary education. She worked as a  teacher for Port Washington School District for two years and as a teacher for Albany Adult Education Department for 15 years.

She was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delamar, N.Y. and St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport. Family members said she enjoyed painting nautical and nature scenes and also enjoyed traveling with her husband.

Predeceased by her brother John Kreppein, Ms. Boyle is survived by her husband, James, of Old Bridge, N.J.; her daughters, Susanne Mullman of Westfield, N.J., Catherine Lenihan of Waterbury, Conn. and Nancy Myers of Westfield, N.J.; her son, Thomas, of Lemont, Ill.; her brother Peter Kreppein, of Cutchogue and 11 grandchildren.

A funeral service was held June 30 at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport, officiated by Father Richard Hoernig. Interment took place at the church cemetery.

Arrangements were in the care of Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport.
