Cops: Manorville man crashes vehicle into fence in Cutchogue

A Manorville man was arrested Saturday after he crashed his vehicle into a fence at a home located near Castello di Borghese Vineyard and Winery in Cutchogue, Southold Town police said.

Anthony Parrino, 23, was driving his vehicle recklessly when the crash occurred at around 7 p.m., police said.

Castello di Borghese Vineyard and Winery owner Giovanni Borghese lives at the house where the accident occurred and said he didn’t know the suspect and confirmed he wasn’t a customer his winery.

Mr. Parrino was charged with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, processed at police headquarters and held for an arraignment, officials said.

Clarification: An earlier version of this story indicated the accident occurred at the vineyard, which was the location according to Southold Town police. Mr. Borghese contacted The Suffolk Times on Sunday to clarify the accident occurred at his home and said he didn’t know the suspect and confirmed he wasn’t a customer his winery.
