Police: Woman drove 109 mph drunk on Route 48

Southold Police reported three arrests on Saturday afternoon. Among them were the following:

• According to police, a 30-year-old Garden City woman was driving 109 miles per hour on Route 48 Saturday morning.

Police said Jaclyn Santangelo was stopped for speeding on Route 48 in Peconic around 9 a.m. After being pulled over, police said, the woman was found to be intoxicated and arrested.

She was charged with misdemeanor DWI.

• Police arrested a Jamesport man around 3 a.m. on SAturday after he was allegedly caught driving under the influence of drugs — without permission to drive at all.

According to police, 43-year-old James Lebkuecher was stopped while driving on Route 48 in Mattituck and found to be impaired by drugs. Authorities said his license had been revoked because of a prior DWI charge. He was also charged for not having an interlock device in his car.

• Police arrested a man who they said assaulted another person with a glass beer bottle on June 16 on Wickham Avenue in Mattituck.

Arnoldo Ramirez, 31, 0f Peconic, was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest and upon his arrest, according to police, it was found that he had two warrants out for his arrest.

Police said one warrant was for DWI and another for a violation of probation.
