Photos: Southold Run for the Soldiers

The Southold Run for the Soldiers was held Saturday morning with runners following a 5K course down Oaklawn Avenue to Goose Creek and back up to the high school.

About 50 runners participated in the race, which was organized by U.S. Army veteran Josh Whaley of Mattituck.

Sixteen-year-old Owen Klipstein of Southold came in first with a time of 18:16. Molly McDonald of Mattituck was the first woman to cross the finish line with a time of 20:21.

Proceeds benefit the Wounded Warriors Project.
