Cops: Southold man charged with DWI after car hits guardrail
A 40-year-old man was arrested Monday on drunk driving charges after hitting a guardrail in Southold, according to a Southold Town police press release.
Justin Schwartz of Southold was driving on Route 25 at around 9:45 p.m. when police observed him crossing the shoulder and double-yellow lines, officials said.
Police determined he was intoxicated after his car hit a guardrail when he was pulled over, officials said.
Mr. Schwartz was charged with driving while intoxicated and failing to maintain lane of travel, police said.
