Police blotter: Cutchogue woman arrested on drug charges

A Cutchogue woman was arrested Sunday afternoon for drug possession, according to a police report.

Erica Quintana was pulled over near the intersection of Route 48 and Cox Lane in Cutchogue around noon for traffic violations, the release said. Officers found her to be in possession of three plastic bags of marijuana and a Dilaudid pill, which is a controlled substance.

She was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing, police said.

• A New Suffolk man was arrested last Thursday night for possession of a variety of drugs, according to a police report.

Robert Cornelius Nicholas was pulled over around 9:45 p.m. near the intersection of Route 48 and Moores Lane in Greenport because his vehicle did not have functioning taillights on his car, police said.

Officers found him in possession of $50 worth of marijuana, one acid tab worth $10, 11 Xanax pills worth $110 and a $5 grinder, according to the police report.

• A 24-year-old man was arrested last Tuesday and charged with disorderly conduct after he was refused entry to a Greenport restaurant, Southold Town police said.

Allen Brown of Greenport began yelling obscenities outside the restaurant shortly before 7 p.m. after he was told he wasn’t allowed in, police said.

He was charged disorderly conduct, a violation, officials said.

• Two historical maps were stolen from a Cutchogue residence while the property owner was away, according to a police report filed Saturday afternoon.

The owner, a Hicksville woman, told police around noon Saturday that someone had entered the residence through an unlocked window, according to the report. She told police the front door and sliding door were both ajar and that the rear screen door was off its track and lying on the ground.

Police said some dresser drawers were found open and some beds were found disturbed. The woman told police that two framed historical maps, listed in the report as worth $10, were taken from the home.

An investigation is ongoing.

• Someone slashed a truck owner’s tires in the parking lot of a Greenport business between Friday night and Saturday morning, according to a police report.

The owner, a Greenport resident, left his truck parked overnight at the Triangle Yacht Club on Atlantic Avenue, the report stated. When he returned around 10:40 a.m. the next day, two of his tires were slashed.

The two damaged tires were worth about $300, police said.

• A Cutchogue man called police last Tuesday morning to report receiving a death threat from an unknown person, according to a police report.

The man told police an unknown individual called his phone threatening to kill him, according to the report. An officer called that number and left a voicemail instructing the owner of the phone to call police.

An investigation is ongoing.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
