Cops: 21-year-old man arrested on drug charges in Greenport

A 21-year-old man was arrested Thursday on drug charges in Greenport, Southold Town police said.

Police responded to a report of people banging on a rear window of an apartment at Lakeside Garden Apartments at around 10:20 p.m. and found Jesus Gastaliturri-Espana of Greenport with another person in the area, officials said.

Mr. Gastaliturri-Espana was arrested after police found him possession of a tinfoil packet containing cocaine, officials said.

He was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and released on bail, police said.
