Man charged with DWI in Greenport

A Brentwood man was arrested Friday on drunk driving charges in Greenport, Southold Town Police said.

Fernando Velazquez-Perez, 60, was seen crossing the white line into the shoulder numerous times on Route 48 about 12:50 p.m. Once pulled over, police determined that he was intoxicated, according to a news release.

Mr. Velazquez-Perez was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, police said.
