Mattituck man charged with DWI in Hampton Bays

A 24-year-old Mattituck man who was stopped for a traffic infraction was found to be driving drunk in Hampton Bays early Sunday morning, Southampton Town police said in a press release. 

Alexander Perez had been driving on Bellows Pond Road about 1:30 a.m. when he was stopped by police.

Mr. Perez was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and held overnight for a morning arraignment, according to the release.
