Wilson Fiske Reynolds Jr. passed away at home Oct. 21, 2015, as his daughter Nancy had just landed safely at the airport from spending a week with him and as his other daughter, Lynn, was at his side, holding his hand.

Wilson, known as Fiske, was born in Westhampton Beach (Southampton Hospital, where his first grandchild was also born many years later) Aug. 12, 1922, to Beatrice (Butts) Reynolds and Wilson F. Reynolds Sr.

After graduating from Westhampton Beach High School in 1941, he was a lifeguard and mechanic, and joined the Armed Forces in World War II, serving as a navigator for the Burma Hump pilots.

Fiske married Marilyn Barnard Sept. 10, 1947, and they had two daughters, Lynn and Nancy. His hobby of broadcasting led him to his job of radio dispatcher for the Southampton Town police, which is the career he retired from. After retirement, Fiske and Marilyn moved to Loveland, Colo., where they were happy to spend their last years.

Fiske was always active in serving his community. He was a volunteer firefighter/first-aid responder for Cutchogue Fire Department, was a member of Long Island Early Fliers Club, served for Meals on Wheels in Loveland, and the Handicapped Advisory Board in Loveland, all for many years. His hobbies included body surfing, dancing, broadcasting, building miniature antique cars and ships, going to the mountains, and attributes his long life to a shot of Old Grand Dad every night.

Fiske was preceded in death by his wife, sister, and many dear friends. He is survived by his daughters, Lynn Reynolds St. John (Randy) and Nancy Reynolds Houston (Bob); his grandchildren, Ryan Schur (Heather), Sarah Coyne Tassi (Mark); two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Maddison; and estranged granddaughter Erin Coyne and her two children, Grace and Jack, great-grandchildren that he was never given the pleasure to meet.
