Cops: Mattituck man charged with DWI-Drugs following crash

A Mattituck man was arrested Sunday morning after he crashed his vehicle into a utility pole while driving under the influence of drugs, Southold Town police said.

Seyed Navid Ahmadzadeh, 24, was driving on Sigsbee Road in Mattituck shortly before 10 a.m. when the crash occurred, according to a police press release.

Police said Mr. Ahmadzadeh was “impaired by drugs,” but no other details were disclosed. He was charged with DWI-Drugs, a misdemeanor and held for arraignment.
