Southold News: Another round of happy birthdays

Anyone else feel like a yo-yo in the weather department? From -2 degrees to 51 in eight days.

The birds are chirping, flowers are popping up, but will there be more snow? It’s only the end of February. You all know what I’m hoping for, but I am enjoying the loud melodious song of the birds and the splashes of color on my bird feeders.

Right to the best part: birthdays. Belated wishes go to Ginny Pickering who turned 98 Feb. 15! Celebrations are coming up for Bernadette Taplin on Feb. 26; Kelli Baumann and Terry Pontino on March 1; Jen Cardi on March 3; and Donna (White) Dunne on March 8. Happy birthday one and all!

Belated anniversary wishes to Dan and Ruth Poliwoda, who celebrated their 50th on Feb. 20.

Jets lithograph; A $90 Otterbox voucher; $25 gift certificates to Sophie’s and Southold Fish Market; Top of the Rock tickets; Storyland tickets. My next deadline is March 6. Feel free to send me birthdays and anniversaries far in advance; I keep them in my calendar. Have a fundraiser? Please share it with me. Have a wonderful two weeks. Remember not to sweat the small stuff. Find the joy in every day.
