Gordon J. Bares

Gordon J. Bares of Southold died Feb. 27. He was 91.

Mr. Bares was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Queens. He summered in Southold with his family during his childhood. After raising his family in Port Washington and Manhasset, Mr. Bares moved out to Southold, where he resided for over 25 years.

Predeceased by his wives, Catherine Garrity, Karine O’Connell and Constance Bares, and his son William Gary, Mr. Bares is survived by his children John, Joseph, Michael, Gordon and Jacinta Pisano; his five stepchildren, Michel and John Liegey, Maureen Flood, Veronica Morales and Constance Mearns; and 20 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 3, at St. Peter’s Church in Port Washington.
