Longtime Greenport resident Anna M. Ciacia died March 14. She was 102.

The daughter of Albena (Koratkwicz) and Steve Zareski, she was born Oct. 6, 1913, in Providence, R.I., and lived in Connecticut and New Suffolk before moving to Greenport, where she lived in the same house for over 70 years.

Ms. Ciacia worked for over 50 years as a housekeeper for Silver Sands Motel in Greenport, retiring when she was in her mid-90s.

She married Guido “Gus” Ciacia Oct. 15, 1939, in Center Moriches.

Family members said Ms. Ciacia loved going to Foxwoods Casino and Atlantic City with her friends, cooking, gardening and playing bingo.

Predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Edward, John and Stanley Zareski and her sisters Jenny Arghiere and Helen Lapila, Ms. Ciacia is survived by her daughter, MaryAnn D’Augusta; her sister Bunny Morrow; her brother Al Zareski; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A graveside service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at St. Agnes R.C. Cemetery in Greenport, officiated by the Rev. Richard P. Hoerning.
