Cops: Mattituck woman stole wallets at church

Southold Town police arrested a Mattituck woman who allegedly stole people’s wallets from a Mattituck church in December as well as a local library. 

Sibel L. Pumillo, 26, was charged with four counts of petit larceny, all misdemeanors, and is suspected of similar thefts in Riverhead Town and further west into the Suffolk County Police District, Southold Town police said.

Ms. Pumillo was processed and released on bail to appear in Southold Town court later this month, police said.

Ms. Pumillo was arrested in October 2014 on similar charges for allegedly stealing purses from women who work at Advent Lutheran Church.
