The Mattituck girls basketball team made history Tuesday night by winning the program’s first Long Island Championship. The win over Carle Place sends the Tuckers into the Southeast Region Finals Saturday.
The Tuckers won 37-33 over the Frogs for the Class B L.I. crown and arrived home via a police and fire escort to Mattituck High School.
