Greenport News: See what’s happening at Floyd Memorial Library

Floyd Memorial Library has so much coming up! You can get full details on the library website, but here’s a sampling of what they’re offering.

The free spring Film Festival takes place Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. Coming up this month are “Gabriel Over the White House,” April 14; “The Girl in the Book,” April 21; and “Nightcrawler,” April 28. Coloring for adults is offered Tuesdays, April 12, 19 and 26, from 1 to 3 p.m.; all materials will be provided. A unique book discussion, “Novel Conversations,” is set for Friday, April 15, at 3 p.m. There are no assigned books and it’s not a club – just a gathering of people discussing books they’ve read, loved, hated or just want to tell others about. Finally, there are free yoga classes Sunday, April 10, 17 and 24, at 1 p.m. Beginners and intermediates are welcome; bring a full-length body mat.

The GHS All Class Reunion will be Saturday, July 16. I mentioned the signs in my last column, but GHS Christmas ornaments, sweatshirts and T-shirts the front of the school imprinted on them are also for sale. The ornaments are purple with gold lettering and are $10 each. The shirts are purple with gold and white lettering. T-shirts are $11 for M, L and XL and $12 for 2XL and 3XL. Sweatshirts are $16 for M, L and XL and $18 for 2XL and 3XL. Pre-orders are due by May 31. Checks payble to GHS All Class Corporation can be mailed to Anne Chouinard, P. O.
