Mary E. Hildebrandt

Former Cutchogue resident Mary E. Hildebrandt, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., passed away April 7, 2016, at Grand Strand Health Care in South Carolina. She was 90. 

Born July 21, 1925, in Jamaica, N.Y., she was a daughter of Louis and Marie.

Mrs. Hildebrandt was a homemaker, bookkeeper and active member of the Coumbiettes and Sacred Heart Parish in Cutchogue.

Predeceased by her husbands, Raymond Wheeler and John “Jack” Hildebrandt and daughter-in-law, Nancy Wheeler, Mrs. Hildebrandt is survived by her son, Jim Wheeler and his wife, Janet, of Murrells Inlet, John Wheeler of Centereach, Joe Wheeler and his wife, Edie, of Vacaville, Calif. and Janice Jubin and her husband, Herb of Bend, Ore.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors April 10 at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held April 11 at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Mattituck. Burial took place at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury.
