Edmund H. Pressler of Southold died April 12. He was 81 years young.

He was born July 9, 1934, in Ozone Park to Walter and Othaetta Pressler.

Ed served four years in the U.S. Navy. He recently retired after 35 years from his business, Pastimes Antiques, in Southold.

Ed loved to spend time with his family. He loved traveling, fishing, dancing and watching his New York NFL teams. You may have heard him cheering from a mile away.

Ed always had a smile on his face and a hand outreaching to help anyone in need. He will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan, and was the loving father of Michael (Allison), Jim, Ric (Theresa) and Lauren (Frank) Kruszeski. He was the “king of all grandfathers” to seven grandchildren; the brother of Walter, of North Bellmore, and Bob, of Florida; and uncle to two nephews and one niece.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, April 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, at St. Patrick R.C. Church in Southold.

This is a paid notice.
