Jane Domaleski

Jane Domaleski of Cutchogue died at the Riverhead Care Center Aug. 21, 2016. She was 92.

She was born May 6, 1924, at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport to Anna (Pietrewicz) and Paul Orlowski and was a graduate of Southold High School.

The lifelong Cutchogue resident was a parishioner of Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue and a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society.

Jane relished her family and loved to spend time in her flower garden. She also loved being a farmer’s wife and later on helped to sell strawberries at the “Red Barn” in Cutchogue. Flowers always brought her a sense of joy said family members.

Predeceased by her husband, Anthony, Oct. 19, 2014, and her daughter Alice in 1989, she is survived by her son, John (Vareen) Domaleski of Warren, R.I.; her daughter Karen (Thomas) Helinski of Southold; three grandchildren, Kristen Helinski of Massachusetts and Ryan Klauk and Erin Klauk, both of California; and a great-grandson. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Chester Orlowski, Albert Orlowski and Violet Rosko.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery in Cutchogue.
