Police: Greenport man arrested for driving with revoked license

A 32-year-old Greenport man who had been stopped for speeding was found to be driving with a revoked license Friday afternoon, Southold Town police said.

Juan Jose Hernandez had been driving above the posted speed limit on Skunk Lane in Cutchogue when he was pulled over, police said.

A computer check revealed his license had been revoked and his car did not have a required interlock device installed, police said. The devices, which measure sobriety, are installed in the vehicles of drivers with prior DWI convictions as a condition to allow them to operate their vehicles.

Mr. Hernandez was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released on an undisclosed bail amount.
