Stolen letters lead to unflattering sign at Cutchogue library

The Cutchogue New Suffolk Free Library kindly requests the vandals who stole the letters L, I, R and Y from the building to return them. The joke has run its course.

The library’s sign as of Tuesday afternoon reads “Cutchogue New Suffolk Free Bra.”

On Facebook, the library requested anyone with information to contact the library director at 631-734-6360. And anonymous tips can be emailed to [email protected].

The library said the vandalism occurred over the weekend.

“We would love to have the letters back, so we are asking our community to help out,” the Facebook post reads.

Library director Jennifer Fowler could not be immediately reached for comment.
