Jennifer Rae Franke

Jennifer Rae Franke of Orient died Sept. 10 at Stony Brook University Hospital. She was 27. 

The daughter of James D. Franke and Christine (Okula) Franke-Nathanson, she was born Oct. 10, 1988, in Riverhead.

Ms. Franke graduated from Eastern Suffolk BOCES in 2010.

Predeceased by her grandparents, Edmund Okula in 1996 and Bertha Okula in 2002; her grandfather, Albert, in 2015; her aunt in 2005 and her cousin on Sept. 11, 2001, Ms. Franke is survived by her mother, Christine and stepfather, Peter Nathanson of Orient; her father, James and his longtime girlfriend, Diana Van Duzer; her grandmother, Frances Franke, of Southold; her brothers, David Franke of Greenport and Daniel Franke of Melbourne, Fla and her uncles.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 3-7 p.m. at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport, officiated by Fathers Richard Hoerning, Thomas Murray and Peter Garry. Interment will take place at the church cemetery.
