Peconic Landing has postponed its fifth annual End of Summer celebration and fireworks show due to Sunday’s weather forecast.
The free event will now take place Sunday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. with rain date set for Monday, Oct. 10.
The event will include a live performance by the forty-member Atlantic Wind Symphony, which is comprised of musicians from across Long Island. The performance is sponsored by the Brecknock Hall Foundation.
The event will also include a salute to veterans and current service members as well as recognize our local police, ambulance and volunteer fire department members.
Fireworks will take off about 7:15 p.m., launched over Peconic Landing’s community pond. Guests are asked to bring a blanket and chairs to make the most of the event.
