Nellie Doroski

Nellie Doroski of Mattituck died March 8 at San Simeon by the Sound in Greenport. She was 89.

The daughter of Stanley and Victoria (Just) Zelinski , she was born April 24, 1927, in Sag Harbor.

Ms. Doroski worked for Hazeltine in Riverhead. She was a past member of the Mattituck Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Family member said she enjoyed serving her community and and was loved by all.

Predeceased by her husband, Frank, and four siblings, Ms. Doroski is survived by daughter, Patricia Broad of Buffalo and Doreen Ashmore of Florida; sons, Gene, of Mattituck, Thomas, of Peconic and Anthony of Illinois; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors March 10 at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue, where a funeral service took place March 11. Interment followed at Washington Memorial Park in Mount Sinai.

Memorial donations may be made to Mattituck or Cutchogue fire departments.
